Melissa earned a bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. She went on to study law at Bond University and obtained her Juris Doctor in 2009. She articled with a boutique law firm in Hamilton, Ontario where she gained experience in the areas of insurance defence, property damage litigation, corporate/commercial law, real estate law, and wills and estates. Melissa was called to the Bar in 2011. She joined Zuber & Company LLP in September 2012 and now practices in areas of insurance defence litigation, including motor vehicle torts, product liability, property damage claims, occupiers’ liability, and subrogated claims.
During law school Melissa participated in moot competitions and volunteered with the Environmental Defenders Office. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Bar Association.
Melissa is an advocate for foreign trained lawyers, and often mentors those who are in the accreditation process.
