Laleh completed her B.A. (Honours) in psychology and philosophy at the University of Toronto in 2002. She received her LL.B degree from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, in 2011, and her LL.M from De Montfort University, United Kingdom, in 2012.
During Law School Laleh was a case worker at the Bro Bono Law Clinic at De Montfort University, a member of the Canadian Law Society at the University of Leicester and a member of the Mentorship Program of the university. She has been a student representative on the program management board of two law schools in the United Kingdom and a volunteer judge in client interview competitions in the United Kingdom. She is now the Alumni Coordinator of the University of Leicester and sits on this Alumni Board.
Since her call to the Bar in 2013, Laleh has practiced personal injury litigation. Prior to joining Zuber & Company LLP as an associate in 2018, Laleh worked as plaintiff’s counsel at a personal injury litigation firm in downtown Toronto. Laleh’s practice now focuses on insurance defence litigation including motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability, product liability, property damage and priority disputes. Laleh’s practice also includes plaintiff personal injury litigation. She has represented clients in all levels of the Ontario courts and tribunals, and was recently successful in representing a plaintiff in a jury trial in the Superior Court of Justice in 2017.
Laleh has been a volunteer judge in the Ontario Justice Education Network program as a part of their elementary school and high school Mock Trial initiative. She is also a volunteer in the Ryerson Law Practice Program.
Having volunteered extensively at various organizations, Laleh is passionate about advocating, the legal profession, and combining legal practice with academia. Laleh is an instructor of law courses at Ogoode Hall Law School and Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology.
