Joseph is a partner of the firm. He completed his articles at a national firm and then joined Zuber & Company LLP in 2005. His experience includes conducting trials before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on behalf of both Plaintiffs and Defendants. He has also appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal and drafted appeals to the Supreme Court of Canada.
His practice primarily includes insurance coverage and liability disputes both domestically and internationally. He provides advice in respect of various insurance policies. A significant part of his practice concerns motor vehicle accident litigation, and cases related to commercial and residential oil spills. Additionally, he maintains a selective medical malpractice and commercial litigation caseload. This includes providing service and advice to the construction industry with respect to contracts, liens, appearances before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and other TARION related issues, or litigation.
As a twice appointed former Chairperson of the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security Act Review Tribunal, Joseph has experience presiding over and writing hundreds of decisions on appeals for disability benefits.
He is a member of The Advocates’ Society, Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, and The Law Society of Upper Canada.
