Neil is actively involved in all aspects of commercial and civil advocacy. His practice focuses on complex litigation with an emphasis on contractual and shareholder disputes, insurance claims, employment cases, professional partnership dissolutions and bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.
Neil has appeared before many levels of courts and tribunals, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Manitoba Court of Appeal, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Manitoba Queen’s Bench and the British Columbia Supreme Court. Neil has obtained and caused to be executed an Anton Piller Order and Mareva Injunction, and he appeared as amicus curiae before the Ontario Court of Appeal in a Planning Act case.
Neil has authored a number of articles, including a research paper that was published in the Health Law Review and presented before the Senate of Canada Special Committee investigating euthanasia.
Neil received his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1995. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1996 and the Ontario Bar in 2001. Prior to joining Zuber and Company LLP in 2010, Neil was the senior litigation associate at J.W. Irving & Company in Toronto.
