Karim obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University, graduating with a major in Criminology and a minor in Political Science. He obtained his LL.B. from Queen’s University in 2001 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2002.

After completing his articles with a prominent Toronto law firm, Karim initially practiced plaintiff side civil and commercial litigation, and subsequently practiced insurance defence litigation at a boutique Toronto law firm.

Karim’s practice focuses primarily on insurance defence, including motor vehicle tort, personal injury, occupiers’ liability, construction and commercial general liability.

Karim is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association.
