Hans Dickie

Mr. Hans Dickie graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1966 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1968. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1981.

Mr. Dickie specializes in insurance litigation.

Mr. Dickie has extensive trial experience with insurance related matter including tavern liability and has been counsel at trial and on appeal in two major cases concerning tavern liability in Ontario.

He also has considerable trial, appeal and coverage experience in the following areas: Chiropractors’ negligence, Jewellers’ block policies, co-insurance and excess insurance issues, occupiers’ liability, and product liability.

Mr. Dickie belongs to the following practise areas of law, general property and casualty claims, insurance and tort liability, personal injury and accident and professional (non-medical) liability.

For about ten years he taught the Civil Procedure II course for the Law Society Bar Admissions Course and has delivered many lectures and papers on various matters for the Law Society and other educational organizations.

He worked for many years as a senior partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto.

Mr. Hans Dickie joined Zuber and Company in 2009.
